A Festival of Operetta

Salisbury Chamber Chorus brings its inimitable style to this frothiest of classical forms, with selections from favourite composers Johann Strauss II, Offenbach, Gilbert and Sullivan, and Lehár, celebrated shows like The Merry Widow, The Mikado, Orpheus in the Underworld, and The Student Prince. There’s even a brief detour into the world of Zarzuela, Spain’s homegrown version of operetta.

The concert will be sung in English, and the solos taken by members of the Chorus who, between them, have ratcheted up many successful stage performances with a range of opera companies, as well as awards.

This festival of masked balls, romantic waltzes, drunken reprobates, and defiant lovers takes place in the perfect surroundings of the Medieval Hall, and is one concert not to be missed. There is only one performance and a limited number of tickets, so early booking is recommended.
